The teacher divides the students into four groups. The task of each group is to prepare and present the answers to the questions posed by the teacher.

2. What is the difference between a digit and a number? How can you define a digit? How many Arabic numerals are there?

On the desk there are ten cards with digits from 0 to 9. Students draw three cards. Their task is to create the smallest and the largest three‑digit number from the drawn cards.

Station 3
Students write the numbers given in words:
a) nine hundred and fifty‑two,
b) thirty‑five thousand eight hundred,
c) three thousand and seven,
d) sixty‑four thousand and twelve,
e) four hundred and eight.

Station 4
Students receive worksheets with numbers: 205, 698, 140, 47, 2356, 857, 86, 3030, 3568, 548.
They mark:
a) in green, numbers in which the digit of thousands is less than 4,
b) in red, numbers in which the digit of hundreds is greater than 5,
c) in blue, numbers in which the digit of units is greater than the digit of tens.

Station 5
The students' task is to read the numbers coded in the table and write them in words and digits.
