Plant arrangement seasonality

This is a journal article discussing the use of plant materials available during particular seasons of the year, and it combining with decorative and technical materials.

Jest to artykuł z czasopisma omawiający wykorzystanie materiału roślinnego dostępnego w poszczególnych porach roku, łączenie go z materiałami dekoracyjnymi i technicznymi.

Modern transport enables the delivery of almost any plant material to any place on Earth. However, transport generates costs that raise the price of the product. Economic and organizational issues often result in the making of  seasonal decorations.

Spring. At the beginning of the year, tree branches, to be used in arrangements with flowers, can be collected. The plants need to be selected in such a way that they are harmonious in shape, color, form and proportion. Forsythiamea35ec72296a6a09_1497302764422_0Forsythia can be combined with yellow tulipsmea35ec72296a6a09_1497302754287_0tulips, and red tulips with birch branches, etc.

Summer. In summer, flowers and  additional plants can be used, such as grass, fruit on branches. Garden flowers, wildflowers and weeds such as thistlemea35ec72296a6a09_1497302748645_0thistle, typhamea35ec72296a6a09_1497302736917_0typha blossom. Summer compositions are rich, full, colorful. They are placed in simple containers, pitchers, basketsmea35ec72296a6a09_1497302733680_0baskets.

Autumn. In autumn, fruit, which can be used in compositions, ripen. The choice of flowers is smaller: astersmea35ec72296a6a09_1497302728712_0asters, chrysanthemummea35ec72296a6a09_1497302618223_0chrysanthemum, goldenrodmea35ec72296a6a09_1497302614191_0goldenrods blossom. Leaves and multiple fruit (rowanmea35ec72296a6a09_1497302609415_0rowan, hawthornmea35ec72296a6a09_1497302603612_0hawthorn), natural dyes, can also be used in bouquets. New plant material appears on fields: corn cobsmea35ec72296a6a09_1497302598187_0corn cobs, pumpkins, carrot umbelsmea35ec72296a6a09_1497302589553_0carrot umbels. The flowers and additional materials are arranged in heavy compositions in low containers.

Winter. Winter compositions use leafless branches, conifers, evergreen shrubs and greenhouse plants. In the winter, we reach for driedmea35ec72296a6a09_1497302944027_0dried and preservedmea35ec72296a6a09_1497302952671_0preserved plant material, prepared in the summer. Artificial flowersmea35ec72296a6a09_1497302963254_0Artificial flowers are more often found in compositions, which in some places and situations can be used throughout the year. It is better to replace natural flowers with artificial ones in public places.
