Mechatronic devices constitute a vast majority of equipment that surrounds us. A mechatronics assembler’s professional duties include such activities as mounting, starting and maintaining mechatronic systems and devices. It is their job to determine the range of works, assembly, starting systems and devices, monitoring their operation, as well as dismantling AC devices and performing current, minor and major repairs.
Due to the fact that a mechatronics assembler is responsible for conducting various specialised tasks, they should possess certain qualities. These are creativity, decisiveness, manual and technical skills, precision, the ability to work within a team, good health condition, eyesight and colour vision.
The job involves the industrial production of mechatronic devices and the work is mostly carried out in production plants or servicing and diagnostic stations.

The work of a mechatronics assembler can take place both indoors, in places such as production halls or labs, and outdoors, where the equipment is installed. Qualified technicians will also find employment in production plants, maintenance and repair sections, as well as a designer’s or builder’s assistant.

A person who aspires to be a mechatronics technician should be creative, diligent, and thorough. They should have good interpersonal skills and make a good team player. Both mechanisation and automation have developed at a fast pace over the recent years and therefore a mechatronics technician must constantly improve their skills and broaden their knowledge of such disciplines as mechanics, electronics, machine control and software. They should have an analytical mind, mathematical and technical skills, as well as be able to concentrate on a particular task which is usually designing, programming or mounting of mechatronic systems and devices.
A mechatronics technician surely won't complain about a humdrum job. There is always another problem to be solved, a failure to be removed, or a piece of equipment to be modernised. A lot can happen while organising or supervising the process of machines and device production. There are however, certain contraindications against becoming a mechatronics technician. These are for example, colour vision deficiency, hearing impairments, balance disorders and diseases of nervous, respiratory or cardiovascular system.
