Due to the fast development of technology, more and more professionally‑trained doctors and technicians are needed in the medical industry. Electroradiology seems to be one of the most dynamically expanding branches of technology in medicine there are. Well‑qualified electroradiology technicians will find employment both in Poland and abroad.

An electroradiology specialist handles imaging for diagnostic and electromedical purposes, as well as radiotherapy. A person employed in a clinic can perform various therapeutic treatments that require using ionising radiation, radioactive elements, ultrasounds, and magnetic field. Moreover, an electroradiology technician analyses the results of the examinations they have conducted, draws up medical documentation, manages the work, and monitors its quality.

Once they have passed the vocational exam, a well‑trained electroradiology technician will find employment in almost any medical facility such as those specialising in nuclear medicine, radiodiagnostics, radiotherapy, electrocardiography, mammography, or MRI, but they can also work in the ER.

The job is highly demanding and therefore those who wish to become electroradiology specialists should posses a number of skills and character traits. These are, for instance, a well‑developed sense of spatial imagination, perceptiveness, attention span, and patience. Unique as it is, medical field also requires humanitarian attitude and care for the patients, though assertiveness is quite important, too. Those who want to become electroradiology technicians must be willing to constantly broaden their knowledge, and, what comes along, to participate in various additional courses.
