Due to continuous demand on energy- and heating‑related services, as well as the constant technological development, the profession offers the possibility to broaden one’s knowledge and improve professional qualifications.

An energy engineering technician handles mostly works related to maintenance, repairs and technical inspections of electrical devices, as well as taking measurements of electrical devices and whole systems. The most important tasks of an energy engineering technician include overseeing the work and operation of machines used in heat and power plants.

An energy engineering technician works both indoors, in facilities such as high voltage switching stations, and outdoors, for example when fixing power cuts. Candidates for this position should have good eye‑hand coordination and there should be no medical contraindications for them working at heights or in difficult weather conditions.
